There are two ways in which you can make a financial contribution:
Please consider making an Action Fund donation.
We are launching an aggressive Public Relations/Media in the UK, to complement our political lobbying, and we believe that the weight of public opinion is necessary to convince politicians to end the selective discrimination of frozen pensions.
Please donate by clicking on the Donate button below. We also welcome donations from outside of Canada. You can use the currency converter on the left side of the page to estimate the cost in your own currency. Simply enter an amount in your own currency in the top box. Select your currency in the box below that, and the calculator will show you the Canadian dollar equivalent. This is the amount you would enter in the Donate section, once you click on the donate button below
Once you click on the Donate button, you will be directed to the PayPal secure payment site.
You do not need to have a PayPal account. You can donate securely using your own credit or debit card.
Simply enter the donation amount (in Canadian Dollars), and then hit enter on your keyboard. This will then open up the screen to allow you to enter your financial payment information securely. If you are using a credit or debit card that is not in Canadian dollars, your financial institution will convert the Canadian amount you generously donated into your own currency.
The Canadian Alliance of British Pensioners (CABP) has been in existence for over a quarter of a century fighting for UK state pension parity. No one likes to contemplate their own mortality but leaving the CABP a legacy gift would be a meaningful reflection and expression of your values during life. For many of us, we don’t take the time to do anything about it when we can. Any donors who donate through our Planned Giving Program will be included on the Legacy Partners section on our website and included in the leaflets and pamphlets that we produce and give to new members. Some of you will have the opportunity to name the CABP as a beneficiary on an RRSP or other registered fund, or trust. You may choose different ways to incorporate a gift in your estate or financial plans. If you are younger or you are less affluent, you might not be able to give to the CABP today but you will feel great satisfaction by making plans to leave the CABP a donation later. And, whether you are young or old, you can take comfort in thinking that the impact of any legacy donation you make to the CABP will be used to support future campaigns. The vast majority of legacy gifts to organizations like the CABP are made the old-fashioned way through your will. It’s very easy for a donor to name the CABP as the beneficiary of property such as a bank account, life insurance policy, or retirement plan. We know how personal and important these decisions are and, at all times, we will respect your privacy, so any enquiry or conversation you have with us will be held in the strictest confidence. If you are interested in talking this through, please contact our Treasurer, David Acheson, via his email address – info@britishpensions.com.
