Our Fight
CABP is a sharply focused organisation with a single objective:
Achieve Pension Parity for ALL entitled to a UK Basic State Pension, regardless of country of residence.
SIGN OUR PETITION
CABP was formed in the early ’90s with the amalgamation of an organisation in British Columbia and another covering the rest of Canada, but with a nucleus of overseas members. CABP now draws its membership from right across Canada and over 25 countries around the world.
CABP came about with the realisation by both groups that we both had the same single objective and there was a real need to pool our very limited resources to give us the best chance of achieving that objective.
In 1994, the Directors decided to approach similar organisations in major Commonwealth countries and make the same point to them. This resulted in the formation of the ICBP:
International Consortium of British Pensioners
This is a coordinated group of organisations of British Expatriates which draws its expanding membership from present and future ‘frozen’ pensioners in major Commonwealth countries and more than twenty-five other countries around the world where UK state pensions are also ‘frozen’.
Stop this Discrimination
The ICBP has no administrative facilities or staff. Its value relies on excellent coordination and communication between designated individuals from each country.
CABP is the largest organisation with an increasingly strong and supportive membership base.
Clearly, we are engaged in a very difficult and costly POLITICAL battle with the UK Government. Just what we can achieve is only limited by the supporting funds and efforts of our membership. Please support are efforts to Correct the HARM done to so Many Veterans, who have done their part for Britain in its time of need, but are now short changed, by the discrimination of the UK Governments Frozen Pension Policy!
